Important Imperial Russian Circa 1900 FRIEDRICH KOECHLI 14K Gold Free Standing Full Dimensional Cat Pendant Charm Unsigned and unmarked but I have an eastern rabbit charm by him with the same attributes. Weighs approximately 2.8 grams. Approximately 1.4 cm (9/16 of an inch) in length from nose to furthest curved tail, and approximately 1.15 cm (7.2/16 of an inch) from top of attachment loop, excluding modern 18K jump ring, to bottom of paws. Friedrich Koechli was an extremely important Imperial Russian jeweler who was born in Switzerland.
Tsar Alexander III and his son Nicholas II held him in high esteem as well as having gained the trust and business of the wealthy Grand Dukes of Russia. Accumulating no less than four Grand Ducal warrants by 1903! Grand Ducal seals were harder to gain than the Imperial warrants from the Tsar signifying excellent design and craftsmanship.
