The base is solid gold and it is marked on the base of the rim: "Faberge" in Cyrillic alphabet, St. Peterburg mark with initials of the workmaster "AH" for August Frederik Hollming, the gold mark 56 for 14k, the Kokoshnik for the years 1899 to 1908 (facing left) and the Cyrillic initials of the Hall Inspector. On the cover the bears the 56 Russian gold mark and mark "AH" as well for August Frederik Hollming.
