Antique Imperial Russian Romanovs Eagle Nichoals II Solid Gold Cigarette Case

EXTREMELY RARE 14K Gold Russian Cigarette Case. Gold cigarette cases bearing the Russian imperial emblem Romanovs with the double eagle head had been given as personal gifts by Russian monarch tsar Nicholas II.

Expensive gifts such as this gold case was very rare and were personally presented by Emperor Nicholas II as a token of personal favor to very special individuals to honor them!! After the canonization of the Romanov family, all the objects personally given by the emperor and his family were considered by the faithful to be very blessed since they were given by the hands of a Saint of the Orthodox Church. Also collectors are looking for such extremely rare precious items since Nicholas ii was the last emperor of Russia. A center diamond "4mm" (approximate), and an approximate 5mm x 7mm ruby set into the latch. The box is marked "56" zolotnik (14k).

The lid and base are marked with a makers mark "HB" and the lid is also marked with a right facing head within a round cartouche. The box came from a estate in Philadelphia and has a card reading Russian gold cigarette case with Russian Imperial Eagle on the cover with diamond in the center. Originally in the Oldenburg family.
