In 1889 he exhibited at the Exposition Universelle in Paris where his works were granted honourable mentions. Four years later at the World Fair in Chicago, Klingert was described as one of the most important firms in Russia. The glass holder is in excellent condition, consistent with age and use. Marked underneath with 84 standard, Moscow town mark, date (1892) and assayer's mark L. O in Cyrillic for Lev Fridrikhovich Oleks and workmaster's mark G.
K in Latin for Gustav Klingert, scratched inventory number 2904, as well as monogrammed ARA in Latin. Please, look at the photos as they are part of the description.
