Imperial Russian Faberge varicolor 14k gold, enamel&Diamond Thimble by H. Imperial Russian Faberge varicolor 14k gold, enamel&Diamond Thimble made by the most important Faberge's head workmaster Henrik Wigstrom c1910. The thimble is really impressive-17.73g heavy, solid 14k gold! Decorated with transparent guilloche enamel, old Rose cut Diamonds, Moonstone cabochon top. Made of varicolor pink and yellow gold. 29mm high in total, 18mm in diameter. Signed with Faberge's hallmark in Russian, Henrik Wigstrom's personal hallmark HW, and 56 Imperial Russian hallmark for 14k gold. A Faberge thimbles are extremely rare and highly priced at auctions. A similar gold thimble with pink enamel made by Wigstrom is displayed in Smithsonian's National Museum (exhibit #376) , (see the photo #12). This thimble comes from the family estate of the Imperial Russian noble lady Countess Olga Sumarkovna. Her family emigrated to Bulgaria after the Communist Revolution c 1917.
