Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle the First-Called - Set of badge with OR without swords WITHOUT SASH. Russian Imperial highest award, order of St. Andrew Firstcalled has no need to be introduced, its the best and most beautiful piece of Imperial history. Order was established in 1698 by Tsar Peter the Great, in honour of Saint Andrew, the first Apostle of Jesus and saint patron of Russia.

All Tzars had it, and highest generals, government officials received this order only on rarest occasions. The decoration contains two crossed swords on support of the crown. The swords were regulated by the Decree of 1855: to all the Cavaliers receiving the Orders for the military exploits..

In solemn cases, the badge of the order was worn on the chest on a gold shaped chain covered with multicolored enamels. Here is perfect gold-plated reproduction with all proper enamels and markings.
