Russian (Faberge) Imperial 84 silver, gold Gilded Imperial Award style Pendant on Malachite with Rose Cut Diamond Solitaire. " for Karl Gustaf Hjalmar Armfeldt , and with the assay mark "84 for Imperial Russian. 875 silver on the bail as well as the suspension ring of the pendant (please see pictures). This pendant is set with 1 rose cut diamond on a beautiful green malachite stone background just above the Russian Imperial Eagle. This type of pendant was made by Faberge's factory in the style of awards the Russian Court awarded to different subjects and visiting dignitairies when they requested an audiance or were requested to do so. It is made from made from Russian Imperial 84 silver and gold gilded (please see pictures). About Karl Gustaf Hjalmar Armfeldt. April 1873 - 7 July 1959 was a Finnish silversmith and Fabergé workmaster. He was born in Artjärvi, Finland. Petersburg at 42 Gorohovaya Street. He became a journeyman in 1891. He studied at the art school for five years until 1894. He worked as Fabergé's workmaster beginning in 1895, and used the mark??
Armfeldt also worked under the silversmith Antti (Anders) Nevalainen and became his closest assistant in 1901. Armfeldt produced objects for Fabergé until 1916, working on projects like those of Johan Viktor Aarne, like tiny gem-set frames, silver-mounted birchwood frames, hardstone frames, gem-set enameled gold articles and silver figures on hardstone base. Armfeldt moved to Finland in 1920. Armfeldt died 7 July 1959. The absence of condition information does not imply that it's in perfect condition.
